In your liberation movement

future?;

What are you doing for them?

by unsentient human beings.

Where are your economists;

To rectify the system, of the

country you're leading?

What about the resources;

under your administration?

The oil money, where is it

invested?

Is oil killing your people;

Are you happy, about people's

losses, all-over the country?

It has been 10 years;

And you still want to lead.

Will you be labelled with honors?

by all your competing patriots.

In the times of elections;

People will carry banners.

With all sorts of opinions.

What will they say about you;

After the 10 years of ruling;

and the daily disappointments?

Do you still want to be a leader;

Or the commander of the forces

Whom you don't want to feed,

And provide them, with the

daily healthcare?

What did you fight for; in years

of liberation of the SPLM and A?

Author's Notes: This poem is written as part of the 30 days poetry challenge under the theme or category, "Political Activism and Idea of Democracy".

• It is a poem mapping the situation of the way the leadership of president Salva Kiir has been handled in South Sudan. His administration has quite weak since the beginning of the year of independence. And now, after the signing of the Revitalized Transitional Government of National Unity by the waring parties. There's speculations about the future of the country towards elections proposed to be in 2023. The poet has focused on questioning the president about variou things.

○ Copyright 29th, July 2021. Machiek Cayier, (Born on 30. 12. 1993) in Hoor Machiek Amuong, Berle Village, Near Mapuordit, Yirol West, is from Nyang-Yirol East, Lakes State, in South Sudan.

Machiek started writing poetry earlier at the age of 13 in 2006 until 2010. Most of his early work got lost. He stayed until 2014 and restarted writing poems early in 2015. He is currently organizing his work in a book intended to be published by the end of 2021.

He is an undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering at the International University of East Africa, Kampala Uganda.

He is also An Emerging and Awoken South Sudanese Elite Intellectual, Influencer, Poet, Philosopher, Model, Songwriter, Singer, Rapper, Translator, Senior Software Engineer and a Sentient Being.
